Gakenia “G” Muigai is a professional dancer from Tucson, Arizona. She has extensive training in the styles of ballet, jazz, modern, hip-hop and African dance. Besides being a graduate of the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance, she has studied with Alvin Ailey as well as traveled to Italy twice to extend her dance perspective. Some of her professional credits include “FAME” the movie, Gnarls Barkley “Run” music video, “The Who’s Tommy”, Soul Train, Choreographer’s Carnival and she has worked with top choreographers like Erica Sobol (CollidE dance) and Jessica Starr (Twisted Elegance). She is currently a member of LA Contemporary Dance Company. Being on stage is one of Gakenia’s favorite artistic outlets and she is so grateful to be in Los Angeles.
